Farmers Markets open for the season

This weekend market the opening of all the area farmers markets. The Willimantic Farmers Market and the Lebanon Farmers Market held their openings on Saturday. Most farmer vendors accept WIC checks and EBT (food stamp) cards.

Windham Region Farmers Markets

• Willimantic: Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, corner of Jackson and Union Streets.
• Storrs: Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at E.O. Smith High School parking lot, 1235 Storrs Road, Storrs.
• Lebanon: Saturdays at 9 a.m. at the Lebanon Town Hall. Wednesdays in July and Aug. from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
• Coventry: Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nathan Hale Homestead, 2299 South St., Coventry. Program each week. Info: www.coventryfarmersmarket.com.
• Ashford: Sundays at the Pompey Hollow Park, Across from the Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To start soon.
• Scotland: Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at the St. Margaret Church's parking lot, across from the Scotland Town Hall. 
• Hebron: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1 Main St., Routes 66 and 85.
