Event spotlight
Outdoor concert
The Windham Recreation Department presents its Sunday in the Park concert Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Alex Caisse Park, Jackson St., Willimantic. Music by Full Gael. Rain Location: Windham Middle School.
Kids art program
The Children's Department of the Willimantic Public Library, 905 Main St., Willimantic, sponsors its All About Art program Tuesday from 6 to 6:45 p.m. for grades K to 2. Learn different techniques. Registration required by calling 465-3082, ext. 3.
Teen program
The Mansfield Public Library, 54 Warrenville Road, Route 89, sponsors a teen program Wednesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wrapper art. Info: 423-2501.
Free outdoor concert
The Mansfield Community Center, 10 South Eagleville Road, sponsors a free concert Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the center green. Music by Dr. Ya Ya's Gumbo Party.

CT Defenders Tickets
On Saturday August 1, the Willimantic Little League is having a fundraiser at the Connecticut Defenders. Game time is at 6:35. The proceeds from this are going to help put in a new field at the complex. Ticket prices are $7 - $10. If you cannot make it to this game, your ticket can be exchanged to attend another game. The Defenders have 22 home games in August!! Come see the Defenders as this is their last season in Norwich. If you wish to purchase tickets, call 423-6732. |
